Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Parsons, KS is seeking a Blaster to load objects into blasters by hand, cart, or forklift and to operate small and large sandblasters.

You will inspect parts for conformance, handle hazardous waste, and keep the work area clean, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and up to 3 years related experience.
• Basic computer skills: able to learn new screens, reports, functions and simple software programs with training.
• Read and understand internal procedures and policies.
• Team-oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.

Responsibilities

• Loads objects into blasters by hand, cart, or forklift.
• Operates the small sandblaster.
• Operates the large sandblaster.
• Examines objects to ensure conformance to work order or standard.
• Disposes of dirty sand in waste bin.
• Sweeps and cleans up sand residue daily.
• Refills blasters with sand as necessary.
• Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
