Job summary

Voith Hydro in York, PA is hiring for a Blast Operator to operate blast equipment, clean, deburr and prepare parts for blast/paint, and to operate forklifts and overhead cranes. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and blueprint reading training provided by Voith.

This job entails working in a fast-paced production environment. Main tasks include operation of blast equipment, cleaning, deburring, and protecting parts for blast/paint/shipping, as well as operation of forklifts and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities –Employee is responsible for operation of blast equipment to blast parts clean for NDE inspection and for surface preparation for paint application. Blast operators are also responsible for cleaning, deburring, and protecting parts for blast/paint according to engineering drawings. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to, operation of forklifts and overhead cranes (up to 15 Tons), prepping parts for shipment, and maintaining general cleanliness of work areas.
