Job summary

Voith Hydro in York, PA is seeking a Blast Operator to join a fast-paced production team. You will operate blast equipment, clean and deburr parts, and prepare surfaces for NDE inspection and paint applications.

Responsibilities include forklift and overhead crane operation up to 15 tons, reading engineering drawings, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and you must pass a Blueprint Reading course.

Summary-

This job entails working in a fast-paced production environment. Main tasks include operation of blast equipment, cleaning, deburring, and protecting parts for blast/paint/shipping, as well as operation of forklifts and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

Employee is responsible for operation of blast equipment to blast parts clean for NDE inspection and for surface preparation for paint application. Blast operators are also responsible for cleaning, deburring, and protecting parts for blast/paint according to engineering drawings. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to, operation of forklifts and overhead cranes (up to 15 Tons), prepping parts for shipment, and maintaining general cleanliness of work areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be able to pass Blueprint Reading course (provided by Voith)
