Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Welding Process Engineering BIW Process Engineer to lead development and implementation of automatic welding equipment and tools for new model assembly. You will ensure processes meet Stellantis specs, coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams, and drive PFMEA activities for new processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in automotive weld manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of BIW automatic process equipment and tooling for new models.
  • Follow up on supplier deliverables and ensure program launch targets are met.
  • Interface with Product Engineering, Vehicle Assembly and Quality teams.
  • Generate process sheets, layouts and installation tooling plans.
  • Lead PFMEA activities with the platform team for new/critical processes.
  • Determine tooling requirements, provide cost estimates and vendor quotes.
