Job summary

Stellantis NV is seeking a Welding Process Engineering Body-in-White (BIW) Process Engineer to lead development and implementation of automatic BIW processes and equipment for new model assembly. The role interfaces with multiple organizations to translate components into process sheets, layouts, and tooling plans, while driving PFMEA activities and tooling cost estimates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in automotive weld manufacturing.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of BIW automatic process equipment and tools for new model assembly production.
  • Follow up on supplier deliverables and ensure program launch targets are met.
  • Interface with Product Engineering, Vehicle Assembly, Quality, and others to generate process sheets, layouts, and tooling plans.
  • Lead PFMEA activities with platform team for new/critical processes.
  • Determine tooling requirements, costs estimates, and vendor quotations; manage procurement steps.
