Scout Motors in Blythewood, SC is seeking a Quality Engineer / Total Vehicle with 5+ years in BIW dimensional analysis and vehicle launches. The role requires deep GD&T knowledge, tolerance analysis, and hands-on metrology tool use to drive dimensional quality across body-in-white processes.

The ideal candidate will lead dimensional issue resolution from prototype through SOP, collaborating with body shop, supplier quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure world-class fit and finish.

Qualifications

• 5+ years BIW dimensional analysis, body joining, or vehicle launch engineering.
• Expertise in GD&T, tolerance stacks, and dimensional variation analysis.
• Familiarity with weld and adhesive joint designs and body assembly processes.
• Experience with metrology systems (CMM, laser scan, optical measurement systems) and data interpretation tools (PiWeb).
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
• Excellent understanding of complete vehicle production processes.
• Proficiency in quality tools and software (e.g., FMEA, Six Sigma, Minitab).
• Data-Driven Mindset.
