Job summary

Riot Platforms, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Lead Technician to install Bitcoin miners and maintain the mining facility. This role requires reading, math, hand tools, and tech aptitude, and operates on a Panama schedule with rotating 12-hour shifts. Day shift runs 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

You will supervise a team, ensure safety and policy compliance, and support administrative duties while performing full cycle miner installations and cable routing to server ports.

Qualifications

• Prior experience installing computer equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work at heights on lifts and ladders required.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.
• Good communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and monitor team members.
• Monitor employee compliance with operational and safety standards, along with other department and company policies and practices.
• Assists the Assistant Supervisor in their absence by performing administrative duties, including but not limited to utilizing company software (Monday.com), reviewing and approving employee timesheets, ensuring timesheet accuracy, and updating work orders and pass-downs.
• Perform the installation of computer equipment from start to finish including unpacking boxes, installing crypto miners, pulling, and installing cables (Cat-5) in the appropriate server port.
• Use hand tools to cut foam and install on racking.
• Operate a scissor lift at heights up to 20 feet to install and maintain crypto miners.
• Responsible for the maintaining the crypto miners by performing housekeeping tasks including pick up and dispose trash, dusting, and sweeping the work area.
• Other duties may be assigned.
