Overview

Opportunity: Bistro Server

Serve food and beverages to guests courteously and in accordance with brand, hotel guest service, and sustainability standards.

Your Growth Path

Banquet Server/Captain; Restaurant Supervisor; Restaurant Manager; Banquet Manager

Your Focus

• Set up supplies, food, and beverages at the start of each shift; maintain a stocked work area.
• Take customer orders, input them, handle payments, and provide change.
• Communicate special meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and requests to the kitchen.
• Prepare food, coffee, beverages, including alcohol when needed.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning and chopping, as necessary.
• Perform additional functions such as bartending and bussing during staffing shortages or peak times.
• Count the bank at shift end, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, and secure funds following policies.
• Clean equipment and work areas, lock equipment doors, etc.
• Adhere to regulations regarding alcohol service.
• Follow sustainability practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safety, wear protective gear, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Your Background and Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training required.

Work Environment and Context

• Work hours vary; may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
• Require standing, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.
