Job summary

Buffalo Lodging Associates, LLC is seeking a Bistro Server for The Bistro at Courtyard Buffalo Downtown/Canalside. The role includes taking orders, handling payments, and assisting in food and beverage service to guests at breakfast and dinner service with Starbucks beverages.

Ideal candidates have prior hotel restaurant experience, a HS diploma, and the ability to follow brand standards. Pay range is disclosed, with shift-based requirements and compliance with alcohol regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel food and beverage or restaurant environment experience is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to understand concepts, practices, pre-established guidelines and procedures used by the company in relation to guest service
• Computer knowledge including intranet, Property management system, WORD, and EXCEL is strongly preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests, taking their orders, ringing orders into the POS system, and receiving payment for the order.
• Preparing food, coffee, and other beverages to meet company and brand standards, including alcohol.
• Setting up bar for service, prepare drink orders for guests, follow state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly, complete closing duties, and ensure cleanliness of bar and cooler areas.
• Providing assistance in Food and Beverage areas including bussing, cleaning, washing dishes and utensils. resetting tables, delivering food to guests, general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area.

Description

The Courtyard by Marriott in Buffalo Downtown/Canalside is seeking a Bistro Server for The Bistro. The Bistro serves up refreshing breakfast choices in the morning, and a variety of dinner, beer and wine options in the evening. The Bistro also offers specialty beverages made with Starbucks® coffee.

Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo Downtown/Canalside is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcoming guests, taking their orders, ringing orders into the POS system, and receiving payment for the order.
