Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC and Courtyard Windy Hill in Atlanta are seeking a Bistro Cook to craft culinary delights for guests and hotel clientele. You will handle daily prep in pantry, fry stations, and various kitchen areas, following recipes and production standards while keeping a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires a High school diploma or equivalent, a culinary certificate preferred, and 3–6 months in food/beverage service.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Culinary certificate or degree preferred.
• Three to six months in a food/beverage services environment.
• Strong knowledge of operating industrial sized ovens and cooking ranges.
• Knowledge of preparing different types of cuisines, relishes, soups and salads.
• Have a basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• Understand and knowledgeable of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and carry containers loaded with food and liquids.
• Able to read, speak and understand English.
• Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards, production and portion standards.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to over-prepare.
• Assemble multiple orders accurately and quickly.
• Date and rotate perishables; maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use and assist in buffets stocking.
• Return unused items to storage with proper labeling and dating.
• Assist in planning actions to control food costs and reduce waste.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
