Job Summary:
The Bistro Cook at Courtyard by Marriott Houston Northeast - Generation Park, TX is responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals for our guests in a timely and efficient manner. This is a Full Time - hourly Hospitality / Restaurant job in Houston, Texas, and is an individual contributor role. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong knowledge of bistro-style cuisine.

Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $13 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, the Bistro Cook will have access to a range of benefits, including discounted room rates at Marriott hotels, career advancement opportunities, and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast items, soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees, according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared and plated in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high levels of cleanliness and food safety.
- Assist in menu planning, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory levels to meet demand.
- Uphold the company’s brand standards by consistently providing high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
- Keep work stations and kitchen area clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff and team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.


Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a cook in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of bistro-style cuisine and an understanding of different cooking techniques.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
