Inova Health Center Fairfax East is seeking a dedicated Bispecific Therapy Coordinator. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM with no weekends and no holidays. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are eligible.

Qualifications

• RN with Virginia license is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years of Registered Nurse experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Continually assesses patient needs and collaborates with the health-care team to address care concerns.
• Completes documentation of plans/orders/outcomes related to the pathway per policy.
• Delivers delegated patient care activities and manages communication for the assigned caseload.
• Educates patients and families; plans and evaluates education across all aspects of care and documents accordingly.
• Organizes data to ensure regulatory compliance; maintains data entry and reporting accuracy >95%.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and supports protocol development.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Pursues continuing education and maintains professional certification.

Bispecific Therapy Coordinator Job Responsibilities

• Continually assesses patient needs and dynamically collaborates with the health-care team to address actual and potential patient care concerns and needs
• Completes documentation of the plan/orders/outcome related to the pathway according to policy.
• Delegates patient care activities appropriately. Responsible for aspects of care/communication related to assigned caseload of patients.
• Educates patients, family, and care providers. Plans, implements, and evaluates formal and informal education regarding all aspects of care for the patient, family and caregivers and documents appropriately.
• Organizes and submits data to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Maintains entry, review and validation of all required data for caseload of patients according to protocol. Maintains the accuracy and timeliness of reporting with a greater than 95% compliance. Organizes and reports data to ensure efficient and consistent operation of the department within regulatory guidelines and for research and clinical care.
• Actively participates in program quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives including committees or teams.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and assists with process and protocol development/revision based on evidence based/best practice findings.
• Collaborates effectively with the interdisciplinary team and leverages the expertise of the team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Ensures improvements in practice by assuming responsibility for continuing education including obtaining and maintaining professional certification.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Experience: 3 years Registered Nurse
• Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association; Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: Prior malignant hematology or outpatient, oncology experience as an RN.
