Job summary

St. Mary's Regional is seeking a Birthplace Nurse Director to lead the Labor & Delivery unit, directing nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating on budgeting and performance with executive leadership.

You will champion safety, staff education, and high‑quality, patient‑centered care within a large UHS network, with generous relocation, tuition assistance, and leadership development opportunities.

Qualifications

Current RN license in Oklahoma and BLS certification.
BSN required; Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business preferred.
Minimum one year of full‑time acute care nursing experience.
Demonstrated leadership ability and decision‑making skills without direct supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
ACLS within 3 months; NRP within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise nursing personnel in the Labor & Delivery unit.
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and corporate standards.
Collaborate on budgeting, marketing, and departmental performance with Chief NurseExecutive.
Lead staff safety initiatives and enforce OSHA, Infection Control, and Environment of Care standards.
Oversee hiring processes and timely 90‑day evaluations and annual reviews.
