Job summary

City of Edina seeks a Birthday Party Coordinator for Edinborough Park & Edina Aquatic Center to ensure seamless, safe, and memorable celebrations. You will manage from inquiry to wrap-up, lead staff, coordinate packages, food, decorations, and facility rules for birthdays, family gatherings, and special occasions.

The role requires regular evening and weekend availability, collaboration with internal teams, and delivering exceptional hospitality while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of prior customer service experience in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for birthday parties from start to finish.
• Manage reservations, packages, food/beverage, decorations, and facility rules.
• Provide accurate event paperwork and final billing using POS/booking software.
• Train and supervise staff to deliver exceptional hospitality and guest experiences.
• Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager on inventory, purchasing, and supplies.
• Onboard, train, and guide staff for events and space timing and resets.
• Contribute to a customer feedback program and marketing initiatives.
