Job summary

City of Edina seeks a Birthday Party Coordinator to manage celebrations at Edinborough Park and the Edina Aquatic Center, handling bookings to wrap-up and leading staff to deliver exceptional hospitality.

The role requires regular evenings and weekend availability, strong scheduling, and POS experience, with collaboration to improve processes and guest experiences. Reports to the Assistant General Manager.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service in a high-volume setting.
• Experience with POS systems and booking software.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a multi-department environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact & hospitality coordinator for birthday parties from start to finish; coordinating custom details including packages, food, beverage, decorations, and facility rules for birthdays, family gatherings, and special occasions.
• Maintain an energetic, welcoming attitude and resolve conflicts or complaints professionally.
• Utilize booking software to monitor reservations, manage changes, and finalize billing for each group.
• Organize party materials, prepare event paperwork, track guest counts, and ensure staff are ready.
• Collaborate with management to oversee inventory, supplies, and vendor purchasing.
