Naperville Community Unit School District 203 seeks a Parent Educator to engage with families of young children, build strong relationships, and support child development through community outreach and home visits.

The role emphasizes reflective practice, collaboration with Early Intervention, and participation in family-centered training programs to ensure a holistic approach to child and family well-being.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Experience with at-risk families, pregnant or parenting teens, and children birth to 5.
• Skilled in reflective practice.
• Flexible scheduling including nights/weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Attend trainings through Parents as Teachers curriculum and apply national program guidance.
• Participate in Fussy Baby Network trainings using FAN approach.
• Conduct home and community assessments (developmental screenings, family needs, parent/child interactions).
• Participate in Individual Family Service/Support Plans.
• Collaborate with Early Intervention professionals on evaluations and transitions.
• Communicate student information to parents and maintain open lines of communication.
• Input data into the program's data system and assist data collection.
• Develop familiarity with community services to support families.
• Provide reflective supervision and infant/early childhood mental health consultations.
• Conduct home visits as needed, with possible evenings/weekends.
• Support student/family emotional and social needs.
• Design developmentally appropriate activities.
• Plan and host family nights and community connections.
