Job summary

Gladney Center for Adoption is seeking a Birth Parent Post Adoption Specialist to lead and grow a structured post-adoption support program under the ANCHOR initiative. You will provide direct crisis intervention, counseling referrals, and group facilitation, while coordinating resources and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, data collection, program materials development, and collaboration with legal and clinical staff to support birth parents’ well-being

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
• Two years of professional social work experience with birth parents or grief, loss, or significant life transitions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Teams.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills; excellent written and verbal communication; trauma-informed approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing post-adoption support and crisis intervention for birth parents.
• Facilitate birth parent support groups (in-person, virtual, or hybrid) and develop a program curriculum.
• Coordinate resource navigation and outreach with adoption agencies and professionals.
• Document services promptly; track outcomes and program measures.
• Ensure compliance with Texas Family Code and maintain records access.
