MelroseWakefield Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, seeks a Childbirth Educator to educate individuals and groups about health, wellness, and family planning in the Malden community. You will design programs, use adult learning strategies, and collaborate with staff to deliver evidence-based education.

The role emphasizes culturally competent education, development of materials, and involvement in community outreach activities to promote services and public health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework or an Associate’s Degree required.
• Certification as a Childbirth Educator required.
• Experience in planning and delivering health education programs preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with hospital staff and community members to plan educational programs.
• Develop and apply educational strategies for program development.
• Assess community social and cultural needs and tailor health programs accordingly.
• Deliver engaging education presentations based on adult learning principles.
• Create evidence-based health education materials for diverse audiences.
• Collect and analyze data to inform health education initiatives.
• Plan and coordinate health fairs and community screenings.
• Maintain current knowledge of community health issues and services.
• Produce written health education materials for distribution.
