Job summary

Oaklawn in Marshall, MI is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Birth Center, providing comprehensive nursing care with independent judgment and expert clinical skills. You will supervise the nursing care team and collaborate across disciplines to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, documentation, and patient education. A Michigan RN license and BLS are required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in Michigan as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• ACLS certification preferred or to be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using critical thinking and independent judgment.
• Direct supervision of Nursing Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Document care, patient condition and response to treatment; maintain timely progress notes.
• Collaborate with care team and other disciplines to deliver patient care.
• Educate patients and families; participate in performance improvement activities.
