Job summary

Oaklawn in Marshall, MI is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Birth Center to provide professional nursing care across all phases of the nursing process and supervise the care team.

You will document patient care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and apply evidence-based practice while upholding infection prevention standards and Oaklawn’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a nursing program.
• Current licensure in Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS Certification required.
• NRP certification within three months of hire.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct nursing care and evaluate outcomes.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments and develop plans of care.
• Document patient care, patient condition, reactions and response to treatment.
• Collaborate with patients and families to educate and support care.
• Follow infection prevention standards and use technology safely.
• Supervise and support nursing staff and care team.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and meetings.
