Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience, or adjacent fields.
• Understanding of all aspects of preconstruction.
• Ability to develop and maintain key long-term relationships (clients, subcontractors, partners, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Conflict resolution skills and experience with successfully resolving disputes
• Ability to multitask and prioritize resources
• Superior organizational skills; detail-oriented
• Proficient knowledge of estimating software
• Experience representing company with industry and community organizations

Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction department (3 estimators) and report to the president.
• Identify and compute labor, material, and time costs from proposals, blueprints, specifications and other bid documents.
• Work with operations teams on general requirements, including fees, financials, and construction schedules.
• Partner with division/market to assist in managing and forecasting pursuit costs.
• Drive projects forward and understand efforts needed to achieve results.
• Strategically apply preconstruction resources for greatest ROI.
• Proficiently utilize estimating software tools.
• Collaborate with clients to understand and extract their true needs.
