Job summary

Wild Goose Chase Inc. in the Detroit area seeks a Field Operations Technician/Canine Handler to disperse Canada geese using trained dogs and a range of bird-control devices. The role includes vehicle-based routes, setting up equipment, and performing site-specific tasks in varying weather conditions.

You will work with a supervisor team and a canine handler, requiring strong physical ability, route flexibility, and safety-first mindset. Some travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver\'s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel across the U.S. if required.
• Ability to lift 50–100 pounds and work in all weather.
• Comfortable working outdoors with wildlife and dogs.

Responsibilities

• Direct dogs to disperse geese and set up/install bird-control devices.
• Perform seasonal routing and maintain equipment and PPE.
• Coordinate with field operations and canine handler teams.
• Conduct safety checks and follow company vehicle and dog housing policies.
