Job summary

Wild Goose Chase Inc. in the Detroit area seeks a Field Technician for seasonal wildlife control using trained canines to disperse Canada geese and other pest birds. You will handle dog training, mounting and maintaining bird-control devices, and performing site setups.

You must be outdoors-oriented, able to travel regionally, lift heavy items, and work varied hours including weekends. Company vehicle and canine housing subsidy are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to drive long distances and read maps.
• Must be comfortable with dogs and able to command them in English.
• Ability to lift 50–100 pounds and work in all weather.
• Company vehicle and canine housing provided; pay includes housing subsidy.

Responsibilities

• Direct dog to disperse geese on properties.
• Prepare surfaces and install bird control devices.
• Complete job setups and takedowns.
• Travel by car and occasional air travel to service customers across the U.S.
• Maintain safety and wear PPE during operations.
