Job summary

Lonza in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Manufacturing Associate II to join the Cell Therapy Manufacturing team. The role operates in a GMP-regulated environment for clinical and commercial operations, with a 12-hour rotating/B shift schedule.

You will perform manufacturing operations, support technical transfers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance. Training others and maintaining documentation are key parts of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; BA/BS in biology or life sciences preferred.
• Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMP principles in regulated environments.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing operations in cell therapy production areas while upholding safety, quality and compliance.
• Support technical transfer and operational readiness for new programs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality and cross-functional teams to deliver products.
• Train colleagues on new processes, equipment and manufacturing systems.
• Author, review and maintain batch records, SOPs and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and performance.
• Ensure activities comply with GMP, EHS and site procedures.

What you will do

What we are looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in biology or a related life sciences field preferred.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, cell therapy, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of GMP principles and regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to quality, safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
