Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Biotechnologist II to join our Cell Therapy Manufacturing team in Portsmouth, NH. You will perform manufacturing operations in cell therapy production areas, ensuring safety, quality and compliance in a GMP setting, supporting both clinical and commercial programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical manufacturing or cell therapy.
• GMP principles and regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to quality, safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing operations within cell therapy production areas while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Support technical transfer and operational readiness activities for new customer programs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and cross-functional teams to deliver clinical and commercial products.
• Train colleagues on new processes, equipment, and manufacturing systems.
• Author, review, and maintain manufacturing documentation, including batch records, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and operational performance.
• Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with GMP, EHS, and site procedures.

What we are looking for
