Job summary

Lonza in Portsmouth, NH is hiring a Biotechnologist I for a days shift in a fully site-based role. You will set up, operate, and monitor production processes under GMP/GDP, perform basic lab tasks, and move materials between production areas while maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AS/BS degree preferred in science-related field.
• Experience in manufacturing and cGMP settings preferred.
• Strong logic, decision-making abilities and critical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and actively seek feedback.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate equipment, and monitor production processes per GMP/GDP.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks (pH, conductivity, test samples).
• Move materials, transfer raw materials between production areas.
• Maintain facility and equipment through cleaning and 6S programs.
• Attend shift exchanges and meetings; support projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
