Job summary

Revvity is seeking a Biotechnician - Clarification/TC to support clarification and concentration of cell culture harvests within the Manufacturing team. You will also assist with harvesting TC supernatants, media preparation, serum processing and related batch records in a fast-paced lab.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of biotech-related manufacturing experience.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in life science.
• ISO 9001/ GMP exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Large and small scale cell culture clarification and concentration.
• Perform analytical assays such as operating a nephelometer.
• Follow SOPs, batch records and other compliance documentation.
• Support clarification processes, including sample prep and equipment operation.
• Prepare buffers and media, label materials, maintain batch records.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and report issues for improvement.
• Occasionally perform work in a dark room environment.
• Other projects or responsibilities as required.

Job description

Job Summary The Biotechnician - Clarification/TC at BioLegend will be responsible for clarification and concentration of cell culture harvests; In addition to, other production support related functions such as harvesting TC supernatants, preparing media, processing serum, and processing samples for the TC group. Additional duties will include washing dirty containers that are used throughout the process, lab cleanliness, monitoring supply stocks and completing batch records.

The candidate will be a key member of our Manufacturing team and work closely with tissue culture and purification. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for performing large and small scale cell culture clarification and concentration, as well as various other support tasks for the tissue culture group. The desired candidate must be a team-player who is organized and has strong verbal and written communication skills and is able to work in a very fast paced environment. Great attention to detail is also a skill that will allow the candidate to be successful. The candidate must also be able to multitask, work independently and meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications – Education And Experience

• High School Diploma
• 1 year or more of biotech-related manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications – Education And Experience

• Associate's degree in a life science
• 2 years relevant industry experience
• Experience with TFF, filtration, buffer and media preparation, hybridoma production, bioreactors
• Experience working in a regulated environment such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, QSR or GMP is preferred
• Familiarity with inventory control and/or ERP systems is a plus
• Computer proficiency with the ability to use Microsoft Office products
• Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $17.75 - $23.75/hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
