Job summary

Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for an R&D Test Engineer for a leading biotechnology company in the RTP area. The role is a 12-month contract and 100% onsite, supporting research and development through hands-on testing, troubleshooting, fixture development, prototyping, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Hands-on testing, troubleshooting, prototyping, or engineering lab experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD and ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Electrical aptitude, including ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
• Biomedical Engineering degree or medical device, biotechnology, or life sciences experience preferred.
• Experience with test fixtures, verification/validation, MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, Arduino, or similar tools is a plus.
• Must be comfortable working 100% onsite in RTP.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing and accurately document test results.
• Assist with the development of test methods, protocols, and reports.
• Troubleshoot test systems and equipment.
• Design, manufacture, and assemble test systems and fixtures.
• Analyze and summarize test data and communicate findings.
• Support design and prototyping activities.
• Work with engineering and scientific teams to improve testing methods and processes.
• Maintain testing equipment, supplies, and general laboratory organization.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures when working around human tissue, cells, or related materials.
