Medical Devices Company in Durham, NC is seeking a hands-on R&D Hardware Test Technician on a 12-month contract (W2) to support development, testing, and improvement of pharmacy automation devices and subsystems. The role emphasizes verification, validation, prototype fabrication, test system maintenance, and engineering support in an R&D environment.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree in engineering, electronics, physics, mechanical technology, or related discipline (bachelor’s preferred).
Five years of related industry, equipment, or reliability lab experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use mechanical tools effectively.

Responsibilities

Configure machines and subsystems to match testing requirements.
Assist engineers in creating Product Qualification Plans (PQPs).
Perform product and subsystem testing as defined in PQPs.
Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to support engineering decisions.
Run software installation managers to support reliable deployment to factory and field environments.
Document test results in clear, complete formal test reports.
