Job summary

ATCC Biotechnology in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a Program Manager II onsite to lead large, technically complex biotech programs across government contracts. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and communicate with sponsors and senior management to enable program success.

The role requires extensive program leadership experience in biotech settings and offers a competitive salary with bonus potential and nonprofit benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex technical/scientific programs across multiple contracts.
• Experience establishing budgets, cost control, and schedules.
• Ability to communicate with sponsors, senior management, and stakeholders.
• Experience hiring, training, and leading staff.
• Preferred: $10M+ annual government contracts and teams of 10+ people.
• Preferred: Life Sciences background in biotech.

Responsibilities

• Manage development, execution, and completion of integrated, cross-functional plans for complex programs.
• Oversee cost, resource allocation, budgets, technical performance, and schedules.
• Develop integrated plans and regular risk reviews.
• Translate long-term objectives into short-term tasks and establish processes.
• Communicate with sponsors, customers, Senior Management, and stakeholders.
• Hire, train, manage, motivate, and coach staff.
