The role emphasizes cost-effective purchasing, supplier qualification, and contract adherence within a 1-year contract that may convert to full-time. Collaboration with R&D and operations is essential to forecast needs and ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, business, life sciences, or related field.
• 2–5 years procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in biotech, pharma, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with laboratory supplies, scientific equipment, or research services.
• Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Experience with ARIBA and SAP S4/HANA and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders for labs, equipment, consumables, and services.
• Source and evaluate vendors to meet scientific and operational needs; obtain quotes for best value.
• Manage supplier records, certifications, and documentation; monitor performance and renewals.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, and financial controls; support audits.
• Analyze pricing and savings, track spend, and provide periodic procurement reports.
