Job summary

Merck is seeking a Technician at our Animal Health facility in Worthington, Minnesota. The role involves preparing media and operating fermentation vessels, in a cleanroom environment, while following SOPs and cGMP guidelines.

The site focuses on biologics production and vaccine manufacturing for large and companion animals. Education requirements include a High School diploma/GED with a preference for Associate or Bachelor’s in Biology/Microbiology.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Microbiology or related field preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare media and operate fermentation vessels.
• Perform cleaning/disinfecting of equipment and laboratories.
• Work in a clean, aseptic environment (cleanroom).
• Follow written SOPs and Production Outlines.
• Comply with cGMP guidelines and complete/double-check documentation.
