Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Network/Systems Engineer in Portsmouth, NH, to design and maintain infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations. The role focuses on modernizing networks, reliability, and delivering tech solutions for life sciences production.

You will lead network modernization initiatives, configure LAN environments, and administer Windows Server environments, with on-call duties to ensure uptime. This is a site-based role with limited flexibility.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in CS/IS/Engineering.
5+ years supporting infrastructure in biotech/manufacturing/regulatory environments.
Experience designing, integrating, testing, maintaining complex systems.
Strong Windows Server, networking, virtualization, and SQL Server knowledge.
Solid understanding of firewalls, VLANs, access controls, and security practices.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain network and server infrastructure for manufacturing and lab operations.
Lead infrastructure growth projects and network modernization initiatives.
Configure/maintain LAN, routers, switches, and VLANs; troubleshoot performance issues.
Administer Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GP) and storage/virtualization.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and apply cybersecurity best practices.
Participate in on-call rotations to support critical systems.
