Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Undergrad Intern – Data Engineer in Technology, AI & Data (Summer 2027) in the United States. You will collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to design data pipelines, extract data, and build scalable analytics infrastructure using Python, SQL and AWS.

Qualified candidates are enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program with a 3.0+ GPA, located in the U.S., and available for full-time work.

Qualifications

• Expected completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing.
• Expected continued enrollment in an accredited college or university following the internship program.
• Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship program.
• Must be available to work a full-time schedule.
• Must be available to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028, if offered

Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources to the Enterprise Data Lake.
• Collaborate with lead Architects, Business SMEs and Data Scientists on data requirements and solutions.
• Build new infrastructure and analytics tools using Python, SQL and AWS.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate tasks and develop reusable frameworks and PoC services.
