System One is hiring a Control & Automation Engineer (Instrumentation and PAT) for an onsite Boston, MA contract-to-hire role. You will design, build, and commission machine control systems, guiding the controls lifecycle from requirements through acceptance testing in a biotech setting.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in electrical/controls/mechatronics/automation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate process instrumentation and boundary between process feedback control and quality profiling.
• Build, wire and configure control system; perform hardware-in-the-loop testing; verify state machines, interlocks, alarms and fault recovery.
• Conduct commissioning on the integrated machine, including fault-injection campaigns to characterize detection, isolation and recovery.
