Job summary

Biogen, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Engineer I, Instrumentation & Controls, to serve as a technical expert for analytical instrumentation and I&C systems across pharmaceutical manufacturing and lab operations.

You will lead troubleshooting, support capital and maintenance projects, oversee commissioning/qualification, and drive continuous improvement across critical facility systems. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Technical Development, and Manufacturing Sciences to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
4 years of engineering experience in regulated environments.
Strong knowledge of FDA GMP and EMA regulations.
Expertise with analytical instrumentation (HPLC/UPLC, pH/conductivity).
Experience validating instrumentation and change controls.

Responsibilities

Provide troubleshooting for Manufacturing Process and Laboratory Instrumentation.
Author deviations, CAPAs, and change controls in GMP.
Support calibrations and CMMS scheduling for instruments.
Lead instrumentations projects from design to implementation.
Develop site standards for instrumentation and metrology systems.
Bridge automation and metrology functions with calibration programs.
Mentor technicians and junior engineers.
