Job summary

GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. in Pennington, New Jersey is seeking an Automation Engineer to manage site automation systems, including SCADA, PLCs, and QC lab instruments.

You will lead installation, validation, change control, and ongoing maintenance, coordinating with IT, Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, and external vendors. The role requires deep expertise in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, DeltaV, and GMP/21 CFR Part 11 compliance, with a BS in Electrical Engineering or related

Qualifications

• Expertise in IT Networking and industrial automation systems.
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field with 5–7 years of related experience.
• Proven experience as an IT Automation Engineer.
• Direct knowledge of biologics process equipment, SCADA systems, and supporting IT networking.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for validation (FDA, ICH, USP, EMEA) and 21 CFR Part 11.
• Proficient with software including Veeva Vault, SAP, Maximo, BAS and related tools.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and adaptability.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and improve automated processes.
• Collaborate with Area Managers, System Owners, and Users for onboarding and retirement of systems.
• Develop Validation Protocols, Reports, and Lifecycle documents.
• Execute Validation Protocols and collect test evidence.
• Create and improve Administration SOPs for automation systems.
• Monitor integrity, availability and performance of automation systems.
• Investigate issues and perform root-cause analysis for production errors.
