Job summary

GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. in New Jersey (Piscataway) seeks a Mechanical/Biomedical Engineer to drive automation development in biomanufacturing, create new workflows, and support lab instruments.

Our team collaborates across US sites and global partners to ensure quality and reliability in high-throughput workflows. You will troubleshoot complex equipment and software, manage project timelines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to enable smooth tech transfers and compliant

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields.
1+ year of automation development experience in biomanufacturing environment.
Experience with laboratory instrumentation and automation systems.

Responsibilities

Develop new automation workflows to meet high-throughput biomanufacturing needs.
Maintain and upgrade existing automation methods.
Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for lab instruments and larger integrated automation systems.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, software, and system integration issues to minimize downtime.
Manage project timelines and leverage internal resources to push projects forward.
Communicate with other teams to ensure smooth tech transfer.
