Job summary

Black Canyon Consulting is seeking Project Manager(s)/Agile Scrum Master to support NCBI at NIH. The role is full-time, onsite in Bethesda, MD with optional remote work.

You will coordinate SDLC activities across multiple teams, plan milestones, and align with senior management to deliver complex biomedical software projects. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, 3+ years of project management experience, and 5+ years in software development.

Qualifications

• Formal education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience and 5+ years developing software or managing software development.
• Strong technical knowledge of software application development.
• Experience managing software development projects using Agile methodologies.
• Experience coordinating work across multiple teams and departments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience delivering complex enterprise-level software development projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) in a scientific environment using Agile processes.
• Mentor and coordinate daily cross-functional teams on complex technical projects.
• Contribute technical and administrative leadership to software development projects.
• Oversee design, implementation, integration, and testing of software/systems.
• Track milestones and deliverables while balancing risks, schedules, and resources.
• Communicate project issues to stakeholders and senior management.
