eGenesis, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the monthly and quarterly close, reporting to the Controller, and to help build scalable processes in Cambridge, MA.

The role requires GAAP expertise and hands-on execution in a fast-growing biotech environment. You will collaborate with clinical and operations teams on accruals, oversee internal controls, and ensure accurate financial disclosures for a public-ready environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience.
• Public company accounting experience with monthly close responsibilities.
• Biotech or life sciences industry experience required; familiarity with CRO accrual and collaboration agreements preferred.
• Hands-on proficiency with NetSuite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close under U.S. GAAP.
• Account for R&D expenses, trial accruals, prepaids, and CRO vendor arrangements.
• Design, implement, and maintain ICFR for SOX compliance.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and supporting schedules; ensure disclosures are audit-ready.
• Manage Senior Accountant and foster a high-performance team.
• Build and maintain a robust internal control environment for public company standards.
• Manage NetSuite as the system of record; partner with FP&A on COA governance.
