Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience.
• Public company accounting experience preferred, with ownership of monthly close under public company timelines.
• Biotech or life sciences industry experience; familiarity with CRO accruals.
• Hands-on proficiency with NetSuite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end financial close process, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accruals, delivering accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Account for R&D expenses, clinical trial accruals and prepaids, and CRO vendor arrangements; estimate accruals with clinical and operations teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain ICFR in preparation for SOX compliance and public-company requirements.
• Support preparation and maintenance of financial statements and schedules; ensure disclosures are accurate and audit-ready.
• Manage Senior Accountant and foster a high-performance team environment.
• Design and maintain a robust internal control environment under public-company standards.
• Manage NetSuite as the system of record and partner with FP&A on COA governance and reporting.
