Job summary

University of Chicago seeks an Associate Director of Biostatistics to lead analyses of bio-behavioral health and network epidemiology data. You will supervise analysts, contractors, and students, help implement protocols, and support strategic goals and fund development within the CCHE.

The role involves collaboration across CCHE, development of statistical sections for data management plans, and opportunities for authorship in publications.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 7+ years of work experience in a related research setting.
• Experience with budgeting, project management, and protocol development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, personnel management, and project management with the Director.
• Collaborate on protocol development, analysis planning, and regulatory submissions.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to analysts, contractors, and students.
• Identify statistical methods for research hypotheses and conduct analyses.
• Create analytic datasets by merging and cleaning data from multiple sources.
• Prepare tables/figures for manuscripts and conference presentations.
• Contribute to grant proposals and growth of the Biostatistics team.
