Job summary

MSD Malaysia invites MS/PhD students to join the Future Talent Program in BARDS (Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences) for hands-on projects in preclinical and clinical biostatistics. Interns will work with seasoned statisticians on data analysis spanning drug research, development, regulatory science, and health technology assessment.

The 12-week, full-time summer internship starts May 2027, with emphasis on strong communication and proficiency in SAS, S-Plus, or R.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be enrolled students and have completed at least two semesters of graduate work toward an MS or PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics by May 2027.
• Must be available to work full-time for 12 weeks beginning in May or June 2027.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform statistical analysis of data from basic drug research and clinical pharmacology studies.
• Collaborate with statisticians and subject matter experts on methodological research and AI/ML applications.
• Contribute to health technology assessment and regulatory science projects.
