Job summary

MSD Malaysia is offering a Future Talent Program internship in our Research & Development Division. The 12-week program includes one or more projects in cellular pharmacology and lead discovery, with a focus on cancer and cardiometabolic disorders.

You will execute cellular assays, assist with lab automation, and analyze data using ELN and analysis software. Eligible students must be in biology/biochemistry and available May/June 2027 for 10–12 weeks.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program in biology or biochemistry and have completed at least 2 years toward BS/BA or 1 year toward master's/PhD.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and a strong academic record.
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-functional, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute cellular assays to support project screening and mechanism studies.
  • Learn and leverage laboratory automation to improve throughput and robustness.
  • Record data in electronic notebooks and analyze with standard software.
  • Present data progress during internal meetings and contribute to scientific discussions.
