Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health seeks a Biostatistician/Performance Improvement Analyst to serve as a data analyst for quality and patient safety. You will assist with chart abstractions, data collection, project implementation, and reporting of performance indicators.

Responsibilities include creating data visuals, PDCA and Pareto analyses, and supporting initiatives related to VBP, HAC, and Care Compare metrics. A healthcare background with EPIC and SPSS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, computer science, biostatistics or healthcare related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• CPHQ or related quality certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and assist with clinical quality improvement projects and quality measurement.
• Assist with design and implementation of QI projects in diverse clinical settings.
• Create graphs, charts, PDCA cycles, Gantt charts, and Pareto analyses for leadership.
• Work with Quality team on VBP, HAC, HRRP, and Care Compare data to reduce costs.
• Collect data, develop databases, and perform basic statistical analyses from various sources.
• Collaborate with leadership and frontline staff to promote evidence-based practices.
• Support regulatory surveys by providing relevant data and preparations.

The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below.
