Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC seeks a data analyst for quality and patient safety. The role supports chart abstractions, data collection, and report production of performance indicators.

It is an on-site position requiring collaboration with the Quality team to drive evidence-based improvements. Responsibilities include developing analyses from health data sources, aiding QI projects, and delivering actionable insights to leadership while participating in regulatory surveys

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, computer science, biostatistics or other healthcare related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• CPHQ or other related quality certification preferred.
• 2 years of healthcare related experience required.
• Experience with The Joint Commission and CMS standards preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Implement projects related to clinical quality improvement and quality measurement.
• Assist with chart abstractions, data collection and reports of performance indicators.
• Create graphs, charts, PDCA’s and pareto analyses to support staff and leadership.
• Develop activities related to VBP, HAC, HRRP and Care Compare data.
• Work with leadership to improve quality outcomes and reduce costs by reducing variability.
• Prepare data for regulatory surveys and maintain needed documentation.
