Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an organized Biorepository Technician to support the Siteman Cancer Center's BB R. You will handle tissue and fluid biospecimens, operate basic lab equipment, and support quality control within a fast-paced research environment.

The role requires strong clerical accuracy, excellent organization, and comfort with data entry and standard operating procedures. On-call responsibilities and safety protocols are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in life sciences or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in physical life science preferred.
• No specific work experience required; strong organization essential.

Responsibilities

• Blood and bone marrow processing to isolate serum, plasma and WBC.
• Process bodily fluids to isolate liquid and cellular fractions.
• Isolate single cells, nuclei and nucleic acids from tissue and fluids.
• Prepare OCT and FFPE tissue blocks and sections for assays.
• Enter data into biospecimen inventory system and track processing.
