Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an entry-level lab support role focused on histology, sectioning and staining of FFPE tissues with opportunities to work with immunohistochemical techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
  • No specific certification or professional license required for this position.
  • Ideal candidate will have up to one year of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Experience with histology, sectioning and staining of FFPE tissues is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with research studies, experiments and assays, including data collection and setup of equipment.
  • Performs data entry and maintains data files on research.
  • Prepares tissues, reagents and probe tests as needed.
  • Ensures safety procedures and documentation compliance.
  • Maintains and cleans lab equipment and work areas.
