Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Biospecimen Coordinator to support the CFCCC in coordinating biospecimen collection, processing, and transport for investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored trials. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, compliance with GCP/GLP, and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

Experience with biological specimen collection, processing and shipment.
Experience in a clinical/research laboratory environment.
Experience with clinical research data collection.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
Strong record-keeping and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage biospecimen collection, handling and transport per SOPs.
Enter and maintain biospecimen data in clinical trial systems (OnCore/EDC).
Support site initiation visits and train coordinators on specimen handling.
Serve as liaison to sponsors and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely reporting.
