Job summary

KIHOMAC in Maryland is seeking a seasoned engineer to advance wearable biosensor technologies for DoD applications. The role emphasizes physiological monitoring, sensor integration, and data-driven validation in operational environments.

Candidates should have 5+ years of relevant experience, hands-on test or lab background, and familiarity with regulated environments. U.S. citizenship and TS clearance are required, with opportunities to transition technologies to field use.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline is required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area.
  • Experience with wearable devices, biosensors, or physiological data is required.
  • Experience in test, validation, or lab environments is required.
  • DoD or research lab experience preferred.
  • Experience in regulated environments (FDA, ISO, ASTM) preferred.
  • Knowledge of human performance or medical systems preferred.
  • US citizenship and active Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, integration, and testing of wearable and biosensor technologies for DoD applications.
  • Focus on physiological monitoring systems, sensor integration, and human performance applications in operational environments.
  • Evaluate and integrate wearable and biosensor technologies.
  • Support development and testing of physiological monitoring systems.
  • Conduct analysis of sensor performance and data outputs.
  • Support prototype development and validation activities.
  • Assist with transition of technologies to operational use.
  • Other duties as assigned

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

Security:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Active Top Secret clearance required
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
  • Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary:

$115,000 - 130,000
